Jana headshotJana Emmett, MMSc, PA-C received her undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota.  She attended Emory University's Physician Assistant program where she received her Master's degree in Medical Science in 1995 and is a Physician Assistant, licensed by the Georgia Medical Board and certified by the National Commission for the Certification of Physician Assistants.

A Physician Assistant (PA) is a medical professional who is trained, certified and licensed to perform history taking, physical examination, diagnosis, and treatment of commonly encountered medical problems who practices under the supervision of a licensed physician.  PAs are found in nearly every medical specialty and in most states (including Georgia), PAs have prescribing priveleges.

Jana practiced in Vascular Surgery for eight years and for an additional seven years served as clinic director of an Atlanta area vein clinic where she performed Sclerotherapy on many hundreds of patients.  For the past 12 years, she has been bringing her extensive experience in the treatment of veins to patients by partnering with a select group of top physicians in the Atlanta area.


Jana has two grown children, a son-in-law and two grandsons.  Her hobbies include reading, cooking, and growing orchids.
